Porsche 956 wheels for RUBBER tyres - Pre Order.

 Pre-order of these wheels are a much more accurate representation of the wheels used on the 1983 Porsche 956 raced at LeMans 24hr. 

These wheels are designed to fit the Tamiya F104 Rubber Tyres.

Designed and made in-house specifically for the Tamiya Porsche 956 Group C chassis.
Sold as a complete wheel set (excluding tyres)

Please note: These wheel sets are made to order, in batches, we carry no stock.  

Characteristics:
The wheel rims are 3D printed with a carbon fibre reinforced plastic to be durable for moderate driving. Fitted with brass M3 bushings for fitment of the rear hubs, also a durable print filament material. The valve details are resin printed.

4x Separate decorative valve stems.
2x front wheel covers. 
2x rear wheel covers.
2x Rear wheel centre nut inserts.
4x M3x6mm hex head screws.
4x Vinyl cut tyre decals.

Tyres or tyre bonding tape.
Drive wheel thrust bearing/washers/spacer (use from Tamiya Kit)

FAQ:

How strong are these wheels?

From tests, they're pretty strong. They're not designed so thin that they would collapse with driving. However, they will shatter on impact with hard immovable object though. Tests have shown they do run well and are useable when driven carefully. If your model is to sit on a shelf, no issue at all of course. :) 

Surface finish?

Front testing the wheels themselves look great with just a matte spray varnish (TS55)
The valve stems can be brush painted with acrylic paint and glued into the rim with a small drop of CA adhesive.
The centre hub nut piece can gave the 'nut' painted in a metal colour.
The wheels disks can be painted with an acrylic paint.
