Tamiya MF-01X short drive shaft in 6082T6 alloy.
The elusive 173mm short drive shaft, popular for 959 conversions of the MF-01X chassis set.
There were no Tamiya MF-01X kits available with the short main drive shaft, this has always been an optional extra. However, they are very hard to find so we make them!
This allows the MF-01X chassis set to be built in the 210mm wheelbase setup, opening the doors to some pretty hot little 4x4 builds. Our Porsche 959 is one of these popular bodies, often built to replicate the iconic and original Tamiya 959 that is very hard to find nowadays.
These shafts are made from the same 6082 T6 alloy we use for other custom cars parts we make, very strong and very durable. The ends of the shaft are drilled to accept the MF-01X standard 2x10mm steel pins. (not included with this driveshaft)
Rather than having these shafts anodised to look like just about any other hop-up manufacturer, we like to include a piece of 1200grit paper so the hands-on modelling aspect continues! Just finish and paint the shaft in whatever colour you desire :)
