So, it's happening. My modern take on the famous 80's rally 959 that became such an icon. Based on a fully ball-raced MF-01X chassis kit, this is a true modern day capable rally car. 

What started as simply making a high quality alloy drive shaft for a personal project has evolved into the development of a full self-assembly kit for collectors and enthusiasts.

100 of these unique kits will be available in 2 batches of 50.

Each of these collectors kits contain a huge array of custom parts, developed and made in-house and are not available anywhere else. 

Against my usual way of working, I will have to take pre-orders for these kits. Each non-refundable deposit secures your kit, which will be personally numbered and certificated as an authentic PROJECT959 kit. 

Production and sourced components acquisition will only start after the first 50 kits are ordered. Lead times on some parts are around 6 weeks, the goal is to get all of the first 50 kits dispatched within 2 months of the production notification. Please bear with me on any fluctuations here. If I see any deviation in these delivery timing estimates I will personally mail with news and updates.

Every PROJECT959 purchaser will receive personal update mails and a link to a page of updates, published as and when they happen. Complete transparency is trust. 

As soon as all components are ready and boxed, new  PROJECT959 custodians will be sent a link to finalise their purchase. All kits will be sent well packed  in a double walled transport box, tracked delivery. 

Based on a modern high performance 4x4 chassis kit and the fantastic L&L Models 959 polycarbonate body shell, this kit is enhanced beyond usual levels of R/C car kits. 

Starting from the ground up, no off-the-shelf wheels and tyres gave that classic high side wall tyre look so I developed and make 3-part wheels. The combination of a carbon reinforced outer rim and carefully sourced rally tyres, this look is complete. 

It continued from there, a newly designed and self-made rear wing and mounts to give that solid effect. The list of unique kit components below. 

Of course, the only way to present this unique kit is in a dedicated box hand assembled and with stunning cover art by a renowned illustrator.  Each one of these 100 boxes will also be hand numbered, by me :)

Due to the nature of this kit, it's for advanced builders and collectors. This kit will require some modelling knowledge and skills. All parts including the body shell come unpainted.

Paints, Servo, radio gear, battery, Modelling skills.
